We’re announcing two promotions and welcoming new staff

We’re delighted to announce two promotions and two brand new additions to the team, reflecting the growing importance of the landscape, urban design and interiors strands of the business.

Interior & Architectural Designer and head of LHC’s interiors team, Ian Noakes, has been promoted to Associate Director in recognition of his work delivering such projects as The Science Park Centre at Exeter Science Park and the Somerset Energy Innovation Centre, and his current work designing some beautiful interiors across the UK for Empiric Student Property. Ian joined LHC in 2008 and his rapport with clients has resulted in successful, long-term relationships.

Amy Walton has been promoted to Senior Urban Designer in recognition of her growing expertise in the discipline and the significant role she undertakes on many of LHC’s residential masterplan projects, particularly those for Homes England including schemes in Dorset, Cornwall and Devon.

In addition to promotions, LHC has also made two brand new appointments. The landscape team has been strengthened with the addition of Steve Harris who joins as Landscape Architect, and Rob Sewell who joins as Graduate Landscape Architect.

Steve graduated as a Landscape Architect in 2013, and is currently working toward his Chartered status. He previously worked for Chris Blandford Associates in London, and most recently for Harris Bugg in Exeter. Steve has particular expertise in horticulture, together with landscape architecture and masterplanning at a range of scales.

Graduate Landscape Architect, Rob, trained and worked as a graphic designer before converting to Landscape Architecture and is the holder of not one, but two First Class degrees. He joins LHC having completed his professional training in 2017 at the University of Gloucester.

LHC is also currently recruiting for Architects and Architectural Technicians as the company is experiencing growth across all disciplines, and the industry is returning to a more favourable footing.

Chairman of LHC, John Baulch said:

“I’m delighted to welcome Rob and Steve to strengthen our landscape design team, and to congratulate Ian and Amy on their well-deserved promotions. Our people tend stay with us for a long time and it is a great pleasure to reward loyalty and provide a genuine career path.”
