Stoke Fleming, near Dartmouth

LHC has secured outline planning consent for a .68 ha site on the southern edge of the large coastal village of Stoke Fleming in the South Hams, for client Blue Cedar Homes – a leading developer of quality new homes for over-55s.

Proposals are for a development of up to 19 sensitively designed, two storey homes, 13 of which will be Later Living properties and six will be affordable homes.

Stoke Fleming is in an AONB and the centre of the village is designated as Conservation Area. LHC undertook a Landscape & Visual Appraisal and Heritage Assessment before designing the scheme, taking into account the proximity to St Peter’s Church and the locally distinctive features and landscape, and after consultation with South Hams District Council Planning, Landscape and Conservation officers and members of the consultant team.
