The LHC graphics team was commissioned to design a brand identity, usage guidelines and printed materials for a new organisation which has its home on the Dartington Estate.
The Dartington Collaborative Network (DCN) promotes and supports collaboration between the diverse group of people and businesses that live or work at Dartington Hall; and with the many visitors to the various locations on the Estate.
Membership of the network breaks down loosely into three groups – health and therapies, creative industries, and other organisations and businesses. The brief required a design solution which reflected the three strands of the group, whilst emphasising their interconnection and the idea that DCN provides an opportunity to collaborate creatively with each other, and with the Dartington Hall Trust, to generate new ideas and relationships.
The resulting brand identity delivers against the brief beautifully. The three strong, original colours layer and blend to make further colours; illustrating the notion of creative collaboration, movement and energy, and brand new ideas springing forth. The identity was applied widely across printed material, banners, posters and email newsletters. The team created brand guidelines for DCN to follow, and continues to provide support to the network whenever they need new material.
