October 2008 – Daily Mail award for LHC designed Cornish development
Zinc, the LHC designed development sited on Newquay's Headland Road has recently won the category for Best Development in Cornwall in the Daily Mail 2008 Property Awards.
Overlooking the renowned Fistral Beach, Zinc is one of four major residential schemes designed by LHC. Currently under construction and to complete in early 2009, Zinc combines cutting edge design with locally sourced materials.
Representing a facet of Cornwall's past, updated for the future, Zinc has been inspired by the works of artist and sculptor Ben Nicholson, whose career reached its peak during the 1930's, the heyday of British seaside holidays. Incorporating clean lines and full height windows, Zinc will evoke the Victorian bay fronted seafront buildings of the era.
Comprising 52 apartments, with over half the properties either reserved or sold the first residents will be able to enjoy dramatic winter seas from the comfort of their new homes, early in the New Year.
