April 2009 – Royal opening for Bicton 'green' Estate Office
Tuesday 7th April saw the official opening of the new headquarters of Clinton Devon Estates at Bicton Arena. HRH The Duke of Gloucester presided over the event which marked the culmination of a vision and years of hard work by many talented people from Clinton Devon, English Heritage and architects LHC.
The royal seal of approval for the multi-award winning building is a rare honour and is most welcome. The Duke met Lord Clinton, Estates Director John Varley and LHC Group Director, John Baulch before being shown the building's 'green' features in action, including the wood-chip boiler.
As a qualified architect and President of the Society of Architect-Artists, the Duke had a particular interest in the innovative new building.
